The Lookout

Ooooo I just found the perfect location
no alternate place on earth worth exploration
stop now, before you ask for an explanation
I don't know why I like it here
I really couldn't tell you
is this a skewed pursuit to renew my life?
ahhh.. quite likely
but it's lively here
everything can be taken lightly.
On the water,
the sun brightly shines off the surface
nervously reflecting,
projecting natures service
broadcasting life
for all those that want it.
Its here the breeze caresses softly
wafting across the curves of naked trees
and we see these things
but some of us ignore these things
and the rest of us it frees.
Today i can sit in the same spot for hours
sippin liquid, thinking wicked thoughts
reveling the elements and their powers
Inhale, exhale, expand a folding chair
slide on some sunglasses
to mask the blinding glare
sit back, unwind
watch the yearning sun burn
all while the world turns.
To complain? I don't know if i can
theres a million other people
a million times worse off than I am
living in hunger, living in squalor
I sit here smiling in ignorant bliss
coz this magnificent view didn't cost me a dollar
as the sun hovers the horizon
I've wisened to the earths beauty
It's that insignificant spec, circling
with unseen prowess and fury.
Even as the imminent moon rises behind me
I can continue smiling, because at dusk,
you can be sure this is where you'll find me
I'm lucky to have this place
lucky to be able to relax in this place
lucky to be able to see everything grow
....id hate to be all dressed up
with no place to go.

Heya Lyz Just turns out I started writing a book the other night... one chapter in. Dunno if im cut out for it haha Thank u v. Much for the flattery And no...the lookout im talking about doesn't exsist anymore. It used to be a cubby house(fittingly named the lookout) I built with a few mates as young teens. The bush it was built in is now a housing estate. I can always go back there in my recollections lol Thanks again ♣

Seren and ......

All the people telling you to write a book, are right. I know that if you want it, you can do it, you DO have the talent. I will try to put mine on paper someday, but now is not the right time. I am too impatient right now. I love the way you brought it all together, with the lazy feeling,[foldingchairs, sunglasses, and a little sip or two] and the natural setting. I am reminded of those out of the way places, I used to visit. Awesome job! Gee.

I have...

I have been writing one in my head for the last 25 yrs. and feel the time growing short, if I don't do it soon... I wish that we could just think of it, and it would be done. Hmmmmm, maybe a little too God-like? But I guess that every journey begins with a little crawl? [Snails don't step, do they?] Keep on keepin' on. Gee.
