No Mans Land

No Mans Land a woman is lost-- she has been walking in the rain for an hour finally defeated she steps into a gas station the man behind the counter is a stigmatic the woman averts her eyes politely having been taught not to stare at people with disabilities she asks him for directions he holds out the palm of his hand like a map And points to the nail-wound in the center "you are here," he says
