The Fury of Twilight

The triple-galactic, caustic gleam
of the time shards, twilight may bring
can either cause a man's soul to cry,
or can cause a man's soul to sing.

Women may muster up might in the night
as their feet find good purchase in earth,
they may misunderstand by fate's own hand
leading them to deny their own birth !

Children may fade, if they get too afraid
where the wind washes over weak wills,
an invisible gust will evaporate trust
and replace it with make-believe thrills.

The breeze finally will cease, and learn to desist
as the wind welcomes whatever waits,
in the wings, to the sides...where twilight time hides,
we keep track of what springs from hell's gates !

For, as soon as the breeze can rattle the trees
and leave minds all vacant of thought,
be it night, be it day...twilight will have it's way
and can cause you to lose all you've got !

You read it....

...correctly, Lyz. In this poem, that mysterious time of "twilight" is sort of the "catalyst"...if you will; but, in the grand scheme of things....you definetly got it. Thanks for the kind remark, AND for even reading it ! "Write on"! sincerely, @{:-{)}8==== docmaverick.

What can I say....

...but, you ALWAYS find something nice to say. I thank you for being you. I thought that this one might go in with the childrens poems, like something "other worldly", if you will. I'm still compiling my poetry into Adults, Childrens, Life's Lessons, and Love Poems. At anyrate, thank you for the kind remark. "Write on"! sincerely, @{:-{)}8==== docmaverick.
