Who will love me?

I am aloneNo father, no motherNo husband.Who will love me?Ah but the wind blows and caresses me,The sunrise puts on a spectacular show,A piece of music touches my soulAnd my body dances with itMy eyes seeMy ears hearMy heart is open and I knowI am lovedReally lovedAnd not aloneBecause I love myselfAnd all that is aliveAround me in my aloneness

This is a beautiful piece.

This is a beautiful piece. Blissful with just a touch of melancholic reflection. Perhaps one suggestion would be the final word that you used to close the poem "aloneness". I think it would be more poignant if you chose something different, like "solitude"...but then again, I'm not sure how it would alter the emotional weight of the piece if you did. Only you would know, of course...

Thanks Kenneth

I discovered only recently that loneliness, solitude and aloneness are very different words with meanings that differ very much. You can be lonely in a crown but not atain solitude that way but aloneness is not the not the same as lonely which can be a very lovely state to be in.Solitude, for me, is different ,often a chosen state. I read some of your recent work and I enjoyed the variety of your work but I did detect the sense of understanding you had for lonely. Best Wishes Liz
