sinusoid

been riding a wave
since the moment of birth
when I came into this life
to walk free on this earth
been down so damned far
feared and thought about death
the time came to break free
destroyed the hearts of those left
behind, though I love them
still know they don't see
why I can't be around there
and still live to be me
it's not so much
the people they are
but the places they live
cannot step back that far
I've tried to explain it
but they know I've lied
so they can't believe me
and that hurts them inside
they've seen me so high
raised up to be seen
a symbol of all
their hopes and dreams
the problem was
I was still weak inside
at more risk of failing
the higher I climbed
it's not the first time
I've been through this cycle
I've crashed out before
and made life recycle
the hardest thing is
each time it seems worse
climb higher, fall further
deal out greater hurts
I'm tired of the wave
must be stronger now
time to achieve balance
energy gone to ground

Godweed...

Hi, I believe this is the first of yours I've read... a very generous write to say the least of it... totally enjoyed the read, thanks for posting it. I didn't really understand the title, so I looked it up, really makes for excellent thought behind it. the only suggestion I would make is to maybe give the reader a line break or two... just to let eyes catch up, of course, I am speaking only about my old eyes... lol... I will have to look at the rest of your submissions... Richard
