The Child You See

 Just throwing a rock.
to watch it splash.
with" it's rippling movements,
on the river; that clash.

to dirt wall banks.
where" they fade at end,
in light moving swells
giving face:thoughts mend.

relaxing to gaze at.
to walk along side.
followed: by many reflections,
that quietly ride.

seeing yourself .
glimpse,  after glimpse.
making "silly expressions,
strutting tall" with a limp.

a feeling of goodness .
fresh; so free.
as memories; return you
to this child" you see.

lost" deep within us.
hidden in years.
brought now" to surface.
by pleasures" smiling tears.

Mantiscepter...

I feel it is a good thing that we can never escape the child within... our innocence of nature and its outcome. loved this metaphoric glimpse within... smiling! Richard

I really liked this. Great imagery which took me back to my youth. Good work. Kevin
