Why Do I Write Poetry?

Why Do I Write Poetry? I write poetryBecause the lows of depressionNever endIt subsides for only a moment I write poetryBecause the highs of hopelessnessIs uncontrolledIt slows down, but never stops I write poetryBecause my ink flows overIt never dries outIn the melancholy of the night I write poetryBecause it’s like medicine
That soothe myRunaway train of thoughts

Dear Barbara

Bloody beautiful. Yes I thought this one was great. I think that each and every poet has the same reason for writing, most anyway. To put your heart, soul and emotion from pen to paper eases a bit of pressure. I love this one. Great. Thanks. Lyz.x

Glad you like it. Writing does release the pressure that builds up when their is no one to talk to or lend a listening ear. The poet's paper and ink always listens. ~~~~~~~~~ Be whoever you are At all times, and Remember that Because of this, people will Always Respect, and Admire you ©2008Leonard Respectfully Yours, Barbara
