Night Mate

 If I have a dream
in the darkness of night
I'd pray it of you
of your beauties" soft light.

visions would show you.
in gown" flowing long.
that would twirl; floating softly.
swirling  gaily in song

then moving with rhythm,
to answer nights door.
as this holder of dreams,
can wait patient" no more.

with cool "touch of hands.
my heart: silent. sings.
embraced with my night-mate.
till the light slowly brings.

twilights" new dawning.
in days I hold strong.
for my night-mate; awaits me,
ruling darkness" in song'.

Ahhhhh...ruling darkness in song...Sublime.

This poem is a tapestry of sights, sounds, sensations; with so much charm and elegance, and that enigmatic quality that I find so fascinating... I can almost feel the touch of that lovely gown. I love the way you speak! Your poem is exquisite. Raven

Truly the most amazing read. I feel I have been glamoured by your words they just keep sing inside my head how enchanting they truly are.This is my most favorite lines: with cool “touch of hands. my heart: silent. sings. embraced with my night-mate. till the light slowly brings. To me these are the most beautiful I think because as I lay sleeping at night sometimes I wake to find myself holding hands with my husband while we sleep and it brings such joy to my heart to feel that love.
