Waves of Destruction

Waves of Destruction

I ride the waves of destruction
Feeling betrayed by the ones I trust
I cry a silent wish to disappear
From this life of stress

The faces of disappointed ones
I cannot peer into their eyes
Like missiles headed for my heart
I imagine the worse

I know my God will be with me
Through all my trials and tribulations
Guiding my path, averting my blunders
Pointing out the snares, I must avoid

The anguish I’m facing
Can’t be worse than the misery I'm baring
And the torture I'm enduring
Can’t be worse than the despair awaiting

I ride the waves of destruction
Feeling betrayed by the ones I trust
I cry a silent wish to disappear
From this life of stress

Sad

Firstly, I would like to say, thank you for your helpful comment on my first attempt, secondly, I finally found you, I am still blindly finding my way around, and thirdly, I love your poem, a bit sad yet raw. I hope this sadness does not linger. I am going to read some more of your work in a moment, so for such a talent I hope to be surprised. Loved this one. Great to finally reply. Love from Australia. I am glad you found me. And was happy I could help, its why we are here to help each other. My sadness is ending and I'm doing good. I was listening to a song when I got the idea to write this poem. Glad you like my work. Putting emotions and feeling into words is not easy but now it gets easier to do these days. I've learned to write better since I been here. ~~~~~~~~~ Be whoever you are At all times, and Remember that Because of this, people will Always Respect, and Admire you ©2008Leonard Respectfully Yours, Barbara
