Serenade De Joie - A Witches Moon

Spectacular sphere
that glows my night,
bleed me to space,
I feel no fright

Smiling your face
looks down on me,
gazing to sky,
I'm smiling in glee

This madness hits
strikes me in love,
floats to celestial
on songs of the dove

A Serenade De joie
caste into dark light,
dimpled in sprinkles
stars blazing bright

A man on the moon
is in love with the sea,
and here I sit pining
in my love for thee

Serenade of Joy

Moon madness must be catchy. This sounds so like what I wrote last night, that it could be a school exercise. What Ho, fair maiden? Have you been picking my brain? LOL. It has stars, a bird, and love. A taxi-driver friend of mine told me of a long distance love affair on the internet, and I wrote this for him. I will give it to him tomorrow night when I see him. Nice piece Jayne

the last lines: A man on the moon is in love with the sea, and here I sit pining in my love for thee reminds me of the "Lady of Shalot" (not sure if I have the spelling right) Leonard PS: The Moon also happens to be my favourite sphere of light.

Dearest Jayne

You know me so well... and know how much I love the moon in all its phases, but the full moon is my favorite. I love this piece as I can relate to it so well. Every line is perfect, I wouldn't change a word of it. It is playful and fanciful. As Elizabeth says, You are the Master... or is it Mistress of the Moon, LOL. Love, Cat
