Sleepy and Weepy

There once was a weepy willow,

And a snake who needed a pillow.

He said: "You are kinda weepy,

But I am... really so sleepy.

Weepy Willow tired of being alone,

Said come, lie down, and be at home.

Snake curled up nice and tight,

And slept in Weepy's branches that night.

Snake said he liked her poetry,

Pretty good for a weepy tree.

She felt her leaves tremble, and shake,

And said:"Oh my, what a good pair we make."

So now there is a snake in the willow tree,

And just be careful there you see.

You will hear in the breeze tonight,

Poetry whispered to a snake curled tight.

In the Weepy willow tree.

As a Newie....

Welcome to Neopoetland, where you can associate with all kind of folk. Witches, vampires, elves, and ole geezers. There are dragons and monsters to slay, hearts that are breaking, aching, mending and celebrating. I am so glad you liked my little ditty. It was written for a dear friend who needed a smile with her morning coffee. You may find that you do not like some of the things I write, for I have another side that writes very gory stuff. I have had comments such as: I need to go wash my eyes and read something sweet, and, I almost heaved. [My dark side loves those]. But I also write whimsicals and romantic once in a while. My grandson [who is twelve] and I also write together, and hope to have 30 poems soon, enough to make a book. There is a list of those on my blog. He gives me ideas of what he would like to see in the poem, and I make the poem. He is in a remedial english class as his spelling and handwriting are very poor. But he has definate ideas about what he likes and doesn't. After I finish my commenting and e-mail I am going to acquaint myself with your work so I can know you better. Thank you for your kind comments, Geezer.
