Vox Dei
Bastion of darkness--
Alone in the cathedral,
a quivering candelabra
scene distant in a
wax pool. The tabernacle
is a tin prism
greased with rainbow.
A man
reclines in the
purple hue
of petitions,
waiting.
Gabriel sings and dribbles
golden phlegm--
eyelash curls in smoke.
The ant rattle of pills....
