Vista Bound Vagabond

At the cliff of my existence
trials, 'round me lay...

feet on the mark
time to embark
and create a brand new day.

~

Look, if you will
with the eye of your mind...

at the vista beyond
the ever widening pond
with the bridge that's so unkind.

~

The mist has cleared the horizon
and my view doesn't seem as bad...

with all I know to be, true
I just had to, follow through
and 'twas the best lesson I've ever had.

About This Poem

About the Author

Region, Country: The High Desert, in the wild west, southern California, U.S. of A.., USA

Favorite Poets: Keates, Poe, Dickinson, and Dr. Seuss. There are a smattering of others, but why bother listing 'em all, ya know?, I also rely on a few of our poets, here....for advice, and what not. I couldn't possibly explain what a fountain of live, effective knowledge we have...right here in our midst ! To catch a glimmer of brilliance, merely visit: the Stream.

Doc, rhythm, pattern, and pacing: great theme: great internal logic consistent: yes I loved the way you ended this one~ _____________________________________________________ Income-tax forms should be more realistic by allowing the taxpayer to list "Uncle Sam" as a dependent Anonymous
