Rebirth of Mystery

On All hallows eve
a babe was birthed
a wizard was gifted
to walk the earth

Unnatural light
dispersed to stretch
glorious wonders
to nature's sketch

A muniment of stone
certified his birth
hammered in blood
flowing from earth

the strength of warriors
pumped his veins
the memory of time
rims all that remains

Magic from ages
called into form
the whispering wind
blew up a storm

Vortex-ed light
shot down from above
mystical flickers
to wings of the dove

A Magi was born
on all hallows eve
the mystery of ages
starts to unweave

My Dad has been the one constant through my life, hes is gentle giant,but also has quiet strength , he was a businessman up until he retired , he received a Paul Fellows Medal for his service to the community through Rotary International , hes now a president in Lions club and hes an elder in the Church he has so many Hats and he does so much for the community hes a credit to himself ... He was always the one driving me to rowing practice at 5am didnt matter what I did he was the one who took me where I needed to be, hes always been the one who stood by me through thick and thin I decided to make him into a wizard , he has to have a bit of magic in him, he puts up with me LOL ... In my whole life I have rarely seem him angry hes one of the calmest people you will ever meet, and hes respected by all who know him , I couldnt ask for a better Dad, and his 80th is coming up so I will be writing a few poems and finding one to give to him , being that he was born on All hallows Eve I decided bring the magic of my dad to the page ... just hope he likes it .. much love and hugz Jayne x x "We did not change as we grew older; we just became more clearly ourselves. I started reading this on the Stream page and had already clicked the tracker tab but had to come and finish the read... wonderful meter and full of images. mystical flickers... loved that! and that third stanza was pure magic! the whole poem is... just damn good! there, I said it... Your not going to believe me but that third stanza flowed from the pen I dont even remember writing it lol spooky isnt it how consumed you can become writing ? I actually thought I would do some more edits to this one theres one or two lines that could be sharper will look at it over the next few days ... so glad you liked it ... I have a Big smile here ... Wizard!

I love Wizards, and have one here on my desk, he has a staff, and there is a small dragon curled around his feet, looking up at him. There is a glass ball that is lit from underneath, with alternating red and green light. It was given to me by a favorite nephew. Your Dad sounds like someone I would really like. My mom turns eighty-two next month, she is also one of the calmest people you ever want to meet. I wonder if that is a trait particular to people that reach these ages? P.S.[Monument] L & Hugz, Gee.

I have wizards and dragons faeries I also have skulls swords a knife collection with a dragon sword amongst it all LOL I guess i just love fastasy ... That word is meant to be muniment ...deinition in the dictionary is muniment ...def' ... defence,a charter, a writing by which claims and rights are defended ... I am curious creature lol cant help it ... anyhoo back to this poem ... we didn't start celebrating Halloween here in Aussie till the last few years and its not a huge holiday like it is over there here just another day ... but thats the day my Dad was born so I am a touch attached to it myself lol ...
