FIVE STARS

FIVE STARS

We as poets
The definition , is adjudicated
A paradox ?
Exhibiting inexplicable
 Deliberate versification .

Confined to the pen
But the stars are our friend.

We as  poets write with more than
Other will find.
We write to transcend
A limitless body confined
With every star, is a dream denied .
 
Only  five stars
Will a ego , be defined

I like this piece.

I like this piece. Reminiscent of one that I wrote called "The Craftsman". I think most "poets" or people who happen to write poetry have these feelings-this paradox as you point out. I think that's the appeal of poetry, it can be more artistically pliable and liberating than others forms of expression like prose, for example.
