I am river.

The body of water.

The desire of mountain.

The soul of the world.

I take birth,

At some hidden precious place of nature.

Being cradled in the lap of mountain,

Learning to flow from the roving sky.

Through sloppy stone beds,

Taking great leaps and strides,

Diving, emerging,

Countless times.

Through planes;

Grass lands, crops,

People, civilizations, lives, dreams, desires,

Forming, deforming souls.

Into the sea I take...

My last final breath.

The desire of mountain.

And the wish song of my soul.

And each day I die;

To take birth again...

In the form of vapour

With the soul...

That is transformed, enhanced:

With the wisdom of ocean.

With again the desire/ wish of death

As each day becomes worth dying for.

hello

I liked the title, but the poem is fantastic. I had to read it twice. So original that I can tell it comes straight from your heart and soul. I love the aspect of the river telling its own story. I'm sorry that I cannot pick a favorite verse for they are all exceptional! Keep writing, you do it well... Always, Cat

Beautiful...

I love your poem... The words weave a lovely image of Nature... in the canvas of a poem. The title is excellent too! It pulled me in... and the rest of it, kept me with you. Exquisite. Raven

Hi Raven

Thank you so much. When I started writing this poem of mine, I came up with all simple words and expressions. I didn’t expect anyone to give heed to it, let alone a positive feedback. :) I am so glad you liked it. Regards Pragyan

paper-boat

potent, free ...sowing d seed of genesis in the sands an' sprouting up with the spirit of streams.. the best thing about the poem is the effortless ease in which it has been penned down... keep it up. tremendous regards..
