Death's Sad Plea

                                   Death sadly held her
Will you not reconsider he cried
                                   Tears falling freely

                                   Frowning at her love
Not wishing to bring him pain
                                   But knowing she must

                                   Watching the moon they kissed
Tears still falling from his dark eyes
                                   Do not go my Queen

                                   Wind lifting her hair
                                   Chill unforgiving and cruel
                                   Feeling winter's trap

                                   My Sweet she whispered
You know the truth of my heart
                                   Always will it ache

                                   Daughter of light stay
                                   Let our passion reign surpreme
                                   Do not break my heart

                                   Hah! Death has no heart
Mother told her when she was young
                                   Just another lie

                                   Yes he had a heart
                                   Biggest heart she ever knew
                                   The heart of her dreams

                                   She had to break it
It was not her choice to make
                                   The light was calling

                                    Oh Goddess of light
Why must I be your daughter
                                    Why should I obey

                                    It is your calling
                                   Goddess whispered in her ear
                                    You will come to me

                                   I prefer the dark
You dont belong to the dark
                                   A  fight she won't win

                                   Head down in defeat
                                   Yes i am coming mother
                                   To rule in the light

                                   One last look at him
Never will my love for you cease
                                   Farewell my darling

                                   Death's wail shook the world
No! he screamed you will not leave
                                    He grabbed her soft neck

                                     I am so sorry
But this is the only way
                                     You belong to me

                                    With that it was done
                                    He had stolen lights daughter
                                    He knew he would pay

                                     Limp body in his arms
He cradled her to his chest
                                     Together always

                                     He knew she would come
                                     She wanted her daughter back
                                     Prepared to fight he was

                                     Driven mad by love
He knew the price would be great
                                     War would be declared

                                     Night creatures betrayed
They would suffer for his crime
                                     Their master failed them

                                     He no longer cared
He was blinded by his greed
                                     Took what was not his

                                     Yes there would be war
Will his children fight for him
                                      He did not think so

                                     Still he was ready
For the Goddess would not win
                                     She will not have her

                                      So here he would wait
He hid his love down below
                                      Then prepared for war

                                      Doom will end this tale
                                      Forbidden love has no hope
                                      Sadly all will fall

green eyes

This reminds me of the mythology of Demeter, the Goddess of corn and her daughter Persephone. The God of the underworld was in love with the daughter. One thing, you need to employ quotations. Try looking up punctuation on the internet to see what advice they have on quotations and how to use them. I really enjoyed this poem, it was magickal! Always, Cat

Expected class

Fairy tail theme, with drama on sentence, always searching for titels to snatch sketchy eye attention saying later, I like it! PHENOM:T.S
