I'm Dancing alone tonight
I'm Dancing alone tonight
Don't worry about
Where I might be
Or how I might be feeling
Because you're not the one
I'm dancing with tonight
I'm writing my own words
To this song I'm singing
Creating my special tune
In line with my hearts desire
Because you can't seem to get it right
I've often danced alone
In the night when you're hostile
I don't have to be sad
Because you say so
So I'm dancing alone tonight
Don't worry about
Where I might be
Or what I might be doing
Because I'm dancing alone tonight
You thought you had it all
Under control
With your verbal abuse
Sure, the body is weak
But the mind is stronger
Deep down in my heart
There is a place you can't touch
Or turn to dust
With your undying fuss
Bringing me to my knees
So I'm dancing alone tonight
And you can't have the dance
Of a lifetime of trouble
No I can't continue this waltz
Of tripping and bumbling
So tonight I’ll be alone
Dancing the night away
In the aftermath of destruction
Of a lifetime of fighting
Where nothing got resolved
Bye, bye my dear
There is no looking back
Or second thoughts
About what can be
But never could be
Don't worry about
Where I might be
Or how I might be feeling
Because you're not the one
I'm dancing with tonight
I'm writing my own words
To this song I'm singing
Creating my special tune
In line with my hearts desire
Because you can't seem to get it right
I've often danced alone
In the night when you're hostile
I don't have to be sad
Because you say so
So I'm dancing alone tonight
Don't worry about
Where I might be
Or what I might be doing
Because I'm dancing alone tonight
You thought you had it all
Under control
With your verbal abuse
Sure, the body is weak
But the mind is stronger
Deep down in my heart
There is a place you can't touch
Or turn to dust
With your undying fuss
Bringing me to my knees
So I'm dancing alone tonight
And you can't have the dance
Of a lifetime of trouble
No I can't continue this waltz
Of tripping and bumbling
So tonight I’ll be alone
Dancing the night away
In the aftermath of destruction
Of a lifetime of fighting
Where nothing got resolved
Bye, bye my dear
There is no looking back
Or second thoughts
About what can be
But never could be
