A Heart in Rivers
Distorted are the waves
trembling here I find
in words a softness felt
staining tears smear time
Voids did echo vast
regrets of shadow fell
and serendipity blessed
to pause this living hell
---
A sliver of light
kissed the dark
and misery allowed
this glow to pass
Lightning night
flown into calm
a missive was sent
from loving arms
In gestured kind
was sent a truth
a withered seed
found ground to root
Four chambers filled
and burst apart
love recovered
this broken heart
---
Splendour in the moments
that mend a bleeding part
tender are the feelings
feeding to black-heart
Surrealist in the mist
floating salty dreams
thankful of this blessing
A river crying streams
