let me

Let me grow as feelings grow
from the middle,
let me learn the ways to love you
slowly thoroughly,
as the moon upon the ocean turns.

Yes, I long for you
long to hear your sleepy morning voice,
to navigate my way
along your smooth stretches
where the wild horses run,
hooves lighter
than fingers on a drumskin.

Yes, I long to feel the quiver
the long expectant shiver as delight
leads me to those spaces
to those nerve ended places
where my senses try
to chart the ripples,
trace them to the epicentre
you place my fingers on.

where ever you go I'll be there already.

Dear Craig. your poem is gorgeous and full of beautiful longing and there are so many lines that I love, *Yes, I long for you long to hear your sleepy morning voice, to navigate my way along your smooth stretches where the wild horses run, hooves lighter than fingers on a drumskin...* those light hooves and the navigation and fingers on a drumskin.. and *tracing them to the epicentre you place my fingers on* lovely lovely poetry. a finely tuned skill you have perfected with words

Truly beautiful, you just continue to craft these sentiments so beautifully balanced & so exquisitly aimed, they sink always to the centre of your intention. I am truly impressed, lovely to be objective, it is an effort with your work not to be seduced, you are so good at that, it is a finely tuned skill you have perfected with words. My best wishes that it brings your heart the deepest happiness. Cheers Anni~ "A word is not the same with one writer as with another. One tears it from his guts. The other pulls it out of his overcoat pocket". ~Charles Peguy

and some come from the heart

Charles Peguy, thanks Anni, but I am far from perfecting such sentiments, if one ever could, it's the journey that truely matters. cheers. Craig
