the ringing of the bell

Beyond the everyday
of these reassuring confines
the well trod verges of predictable
I shall be there.

Down green walled mountain waves
take the longboat,
ride the rollercoaster
sail on instinct,
these trails are not for charting.

Lead me to the crossroads
intersections of all longing
where the stores are often empty
and all we have are footprints
and what our hearts can tell.

Take measure of these choices
weighed by our convictions,
sound out the heartwood
hear the ringing of the bell.

This is so very beautiful

This is so very beautiful Craig. I love how you wrote this. It has a dreamy and magic quality. I also find hope and the beautiful faith that comes with love and a promise that we shall always follow the song in our hearts... you know the moon is new now and the eagles have already laid their eggs to create a new forever for us to live in and the magican heats the life with his breath just for us Love

Yep, dramatically beautiful, with a grace you are honing & weilding so deftly Craig, a true pleasure to read... calls the heart as your works so often do Cheers Anni~ "Clarity of mind means clarity of passion, too; this is why a great and clear mind loves ardently and sees distinctly what it loves". Craig :)

A heart felt poem which offers hope. It's like saying in the everyday struggles of life I'll be there. Hope I haven't read this wrong?
