Thought You Should Know

 I was disillusioned, empty inside

Beaten down and broken

A mere shadow was all that resided of me

By angry hands and cruel words spoken

Until You…..found me within the night

Took me as your own

Made me Your Queen ..

Your eyes were flickered with flames

As you summoned me from my cocoon
You saved me from my self

And my certain impending doom

The touch of Your calloused hands

The sound of Your velvety voice

Heaven or Hell?

You’ve taken away my choice

You shown me my place

On my knees at Your feet willingly

You’ve chosen as my seat

You give me rules that I follow

And tasks for me to complete

You’ve earned my trust
In your words and in deeds

I shall follow you with pride

Wherever You shall lead

You collar me with your love

You’ve taken all that is me
You pushed me past all my limits

By doing so ~You~ set my soul free

You make me feel worthy

You make me feel royal

I’ve given to You my heart

I’m so glad that You saved me

From the shadows and the dark of my yesterdays

I would serve You forever
