Poem: Enjoy This Season

Withering grass of this season
with your abundance of green,
take advantage of Today -
Contribute to this Earthly scene.

Enjoy your present strength;
ignore worries of the past.
Let the distant failures fade
and let sweeter memories last.

Be true to yourself always,
standing tall and strong.
Focus on your own meadows and...
Learn to hum to Life's song.

Joseph

This is a cute little piece and is well written, the only thing that threw me was the opening line of the withering grass, where it becomes abundant in its green. Something like:- From abundant green grass. To seeded heads we gleen. Where the harvest has been completed and the remnants of the grass is gleened, usually refers to crops of corn etc: where the people use to go into the fields after the harvester to pick up the remains of the crop left there. I have been to your site as is, at the bottom of your submission, well done to have an audience and be seen by many, Yours Ian.T

RE: Withering Grass

We as individuals are represented as "withering grass"; relative to time, our existence is brief - whereas there is abundance in living. --Joe
