Shipwreck the Sun

Taste another moon drop
Wash away those years
You never really lived your life
Shadowed by your parents success
You wallowed with your regrets
Of how life got this, how did it get this far?

I am but a small child, hand in hand with my head up high
You offer me a taste of life but I’m just fine, I said I was fin

Head down you walk around
After you found out that dreams are a hell of a drug
You danced over rooftops, sang in front of sell outs
But you never really moved a step
I can’t really hold your hand
Well tell me how far did you get, how far did you get?

Take it like a grown child, crying by the door stop
Waiting for the roof to collapse, tell me you’re fine

Shoot an arrow straight up to God,
Tell him everything you want
Watch the horizon lost in your eye line
You went and ship wreaked the sun
An ocean stream of black in an endless gap
How did we get this far, how did we get this far?

You were just a young girl, with love on your shoulders
Your tears fell so heavy on my feet, you will be alright, you will be alright

Watching the sun sweat I taste another regret,
Of the things I never did
Capture the moon and eat it tonigh
The sun’s sinking in the lake
Make time to breath and capture the scene
Everything will be alright, it will all be alright

Moon drops...

Your poem is so lovely... It has a smooth and graceful touch... The first line pulled me in; "Taste another moon drop" And the rest of the poem, kept me with you. Raven

Great

Piece. what makes it more graceful is that all the lines captures almost every aspect of man's life on this earth- his SUCCESSES as well as the BITTERNESS ENJOYED. You know what, I think this piece is more of a therapy. Ya, it cool.... Best Wishes, pal. Wonder.
