Shadows And Curves

Remaindered pariahs seeking atonement
Some have no past to excoriate
and some have no future to persecute
They are simply shadows and curves

Seeking just a few dollars more
for a bite to eat and a fixity of place
The unrelenting hosts of fear
ensure none hazard to tarry long

They pass through the beginning
of dusty memories with no meaning
to those who cannot perceive
the ferocity of desperation

Some might even tell you
that they hope to begin again
but they await the sunrise
to see the shadows and curves

A dark resonance...

I really liked this piece. Its tone is dank and disturbing, like it revels in its macabre subject matter. Shadows and curves...a title with much 'punch' to it.
