MAKE BELIEVE

"Make believe"
There is a make believe world
known 'as if'...which presents itself as
reliable,predictable, apposite at best -
yetit is a simulacruma non certainty,a vagueness, a guess,an ersatz attemptto pretend emptiness - can be addressed. Best to curse  the mindand deracinate* longing from the soul, before  making believe love is real,or ever yours - to uphold. BjR  3 August, '09 * deracinate - to pull up by the roots; uproot; extirpate; eradicate.

Boni,

while agreeing wholeheartedly with your message here, I find myself struggling a little with your opening lines: There is a make believe world known ‘as if’… which presents as though it were reliable My nitpicky brain wants a second "as" in front of "as if", and an "itself" in l.3. But these lines were absolutely beautiful: it is a simulacrum a non certainty, a vagueness, a guess, an ersatz attempt to pretend emptiness - can be addressed. Yours, ~Nina

I agree with Nina on every point, especially the loveliness of certain lines. I needed to look up some of the words, but I love doing that and learning words new to me! Keep up the great work! Always, Cat

Great changes here

thanks girls! Certainly makes it easier to read. I have to admit I struggled a bit myself! Cat - another admission is that a lot of these words are new to me too! Often I find new words and play around with them and that is actually how this piece came about! Thanks again for your support! You gals are the best! Boni
