Complementary Celestials

You are storm cloud tentative – I am burning sunset flame
We meet across the evening sky – You draw my blaze when you say my name
We are fluidity falling through space
We are lava intensity, face to face.
Breath in the universe – Celestial, clear
Orbit and gravity – flight without fear
We are lovers anew, virgin and clean
Discovering sensitive points hardly seen
We are heat from a hand in the cool of the air
We are treasures uncovered, eternally there
We are mercury movements in quicksilver light
The gliding between all the effort of flight
We are synchronous sentiment - Smiles that errupt
Sincerity never once touched by corrupt
We are halos and wings and the breeze off the ocean,
velocity warmed, and then cooled to slow motion

We are bonded in wonder and goodness and truth
We were reaching for love since we cut our first tooth
We are bright as the suns core and deep velvet black
We know how to grow from the things that we lack
We are ancient in heart with the courage of grief
We have both known that living’s part joy and part thief
We have learned from our losses, and offered our hearts
Near died from the severance forced to our parts
Knowing more clearly and loving more deeply
When in life, grief is birthed, one must climb far more steeply
Yet here in the night you are tender constraint
A radiant glow like the aura of saint
Sweet, you build simmering contact and brush
Set the slow motion swoon and the rose petal blush
Hovering perfectly, timing and plunge
I’m your ocean
   …I’m your sustenance
      ….I’m your will

Anni

Surviving the loss of a spouse is one of the hardest feats in the universe. The heart will always remember and mourn. For me the most enthralling lines of this piece are: We are bonded in wonder and goodness and truth We were reaching for love since we cut our first tooth We are bright as the suns core and deep velvet black We know how to grow from the things that we lack We are ancient in heart with the courage of grief We have both known that living’s part joy and part thief We have learned from our losses, and offered our hearts It was very hard to pick favorite lines as all of them are beautiful and deeply meaningful. Always, Cat

Ironically it is a little easier for us since we have BOTH lost

Thanks Cat, as always... Ironically it is a little easier for us since we have BOTH lost a spouse, his much more recently though & after many more years of life shared & 2 children so I have enormous admiration for his courage here (in my life... & his own), multiplied by history & proximity of time as it is. Still, as I always say, it is these hardships that dig the deeper spaces that can be filled with even more joy, love & mirth, & hopefully wisdom. Cheers & love to you Anni~ "Clarity of mind means clarity of passion, too; this is why a great and clear mind loves ardently and sees distinctly what it loves". Blaise Pascal (1623 - 1662)

gorgeous concept, I can imagine you out there, throwing stars

Well, thank you, what a gorgeous concept, I can imagine you out there, throwing stars, lovely image... ...& don't feel silly for learning bit by bit how things work here, I suspect we all took a while to feel out the way things work here. Fell free to ask someone if you are wondering, I'm happy to help, Ink Dragon is a whiz & Rett is the AEC chair & does a spectacular job. Anyone with an Advocacy badge (under their picture) should be able to help. Hope you're enjoying your time here... will check out your latest soon. Oh & yes, you DO get better at it as you get older (seeing yourself in a better light), most of us get better at BEING in a better light! ... But there nothing like starting early, go for it. Cheers & thanks again. Anni~ "Clarity of mind means clarity of passion, too; this is why a great and clear mind loves ardently and sees distinctly what it loves". Blaise Pascal (1623 - 1662)

Thanks Leonard, that seem very high praise to me, but I will try to be graceful in accepting, I feel there are so many talented writers here, I sometimes feel self conscious with such feedback. I am glad it touched you though, I feel it is always a two way compliment in these cases to get it you must know it also I guess, so it must be in you as well. Do you have Spanish or South American ancestry? You look a little like a Mexican fried of mine... I am working on my Spanish again, I need places to practice if you are able I would be grateful, Hope that's not rude. I can’t speak, I am

I can't speak, I am without words, you have put such words on the page in front of me, about such love. Not everyone experiences that kind of deep all embracing love in their lives, it is a different kind from the parent or the sister, aunt or uncle, it has the profundity of your comments on that state and shows that the love you can give is of pure gold, either that or the receiver of it is not worth trying to polish. Oh if you find that again, after loosing it so unfortunately, I shall be happy for you and all the world will wish to sing with you. The wonderful cloud meets the wonderful flames of the sunset, wow what a pair, celestial was the right word t use to suggest the content of this flight of passionate totality. Wonderful dear Anni and I am blessed to know you. My love to you Anni from Anushka.

You of course know of deep love & immersion, passion & committme

Sweet & lovely Anushka, I am blessed to know YOU... & yes... then all the world shall be singing! Funny thing is, that's largely what I do in my life, it makes me laugh, facilitate more & more & more singing everywhere & whenever possible! (Did I tell you we got the funding to create a new CD for the choir I direct?... lovely... we chose a water theme this time) It seems that for both of us the loss (we have both lost a spouse in our history) was, at the time, such an unfathomable tragedy we would NEVER again be even remotely ok, let alone have a heart that would recover enough to share with another, & now we are incredulous at having found such good (& delicious) hearts in each other... WE are blessed as well... it has it's challenges, anniversaries are bloody painful & every joyful thing has it's shadow (of the loss or lack of the missing heart) attached, but courage & love are excellent balms. I fretted for a couple of days that perhaps he was not ready after all, to become immersed in such a deep new love, but as soon as we were in each others space once more it was completely inevitable... otters need to be immersed I think! You of course know of deep love & immersion, passion & committment, even, dare I say it, lust! it is everywhere in your writing... it is a gift & sometimes it has it's burdens, but I'd rather that than a lonely or superficial or empty life (comparatively). Cheers & love to you Anni~ "Clarity of mind means clarity of passion, too; this is why a great and clear mind loves ardently and sees distinctly what it loves". Blaise Pascal (1623 - 1662)

Ta "Shells", I just cut that clumsy longer line in the first stanza, think it flows better now... don't know why I let that through.
