Edge bows to your finely honed talents and tips his hat. Evilly clever. Love it. You’re dressed to kill He’d die for you And so he will It’s overdue Always, Cat (except for when I'm not)

Nina

I love how you lured us in with a nice pretty picture - and then did a complete 180 degrees. Cat's right, cleverly evil and evilly clever! ~Jess K. ----------------------- "Handle every situation like a dog: if you can't eat it, or screw it, then piss on it and walk away!" - unknown

Jess,

I think I had more fun creating this than I had ever before. I must have a hideous heart myself ;) Cleverly evil, evilly clever... you girls are spoiling me! Yours, ~Nina

years of edge

lovely poem remember fondly waking up to the butcher knife the screaming rage it wasnt personal it was men in general the effects of a long battle of attrition had men threaten me as men love to do to each other and others just smiled my smile and talked to them calmly serenely purposeful passion and the cold cuts of the heart the art of the dark ahh the good ol days you have taken me back to the fires of youth the warmth of that skill of confronting

Thanks, O,

the art of the dark is a beautiful line, you should use it as a title. Yours, ~Nina

It's an ouchy one, but well written, a pearl in it's own right

Wow Nina, the woman who suggested she struggles with rhyme... it doesn't apear that way at all... It's an ouchy one, but well written, a pearl in it's own right. Cheers Anni~ "Clarity of mind means clarity of passion, too; this is why a great and clear mind loves ardently and sees distinctly what it loves". Blaise Pascal (1623 - 1662)

Well, Anni,

once I had tackled rhyme, I was bound to improve eventually. But it took some pushing over the threshold to try it... Much love, and thanks, ~Nina

A little gem Nina

Those are the pearls that were his eyes........ (could one use another word without repeating pearls? just a thought) Then it is so perfect to me, I loved it although I would have liked more it was over too soon as I was enjoying the ride of thoughts and the rhythm carried me with it so well. A little gem Nina with love from Ann of Norway

Ann,

I see what you're on about with the repetition, but I can't throw the pearls out of this line. I will try for another word in the other "pearl" line. Over to soon- I'll take that as a compliment. Thanks, ~Nina

It was a compliment

I loved it so much I wanted more and more, so you will have to write in a similar vein more and more to satisfy your hungry friends who enjoyed this one so much! The repitition was not of a grave kind and possibly needs to be there Nina, I can't think of an alternative either without changing the actual pearls and that would be a shame, not to be considered. I gave you 5 so it was certainly not a criticism, and this poem is complte as it is. Love Ann of Norway

This is good!

Stark and chilling. You have a keen eye for this. I have to say that Bataille's ''Erotism: Death and Sensuality'' sprung to my mind. Delve into the void, Espen

Dressed to Kill

Nina What a weave you cast Thrilling chilling as Espen says Wow my friend you cut to the edge. Wow I am often told that I am dressed to kill But I dress for me and no other but if it has that affect I will not deny Full of wickedness oh yes but so delightful the shadow long lures you until the end This is amazing my friend always blue so blue
