borrowing more money

it starts as a slurred whisper
you note the reasons to feel guilty

so the reason is one of two,
 have you lost count
or are you only too good at counting

your debt
quantifying

your little life

into a harvest bills and receipts
a collection of
confirmation numbers
and 8.5% tax unless you are military

and you, you are there, isolating your needs
like small potted plants in cheap soil,
drowning in tap water, there are no gardens

you are there amounting yourself
you end up a capacity, a check list written up in red,
a bank account which is still staying open.

Yes...

but I need more... it would be funny if it weren't true, I feel like I'm digging a hole sometimes and I don't get the military credit and everything I own, they want to come get it... all right, not that bad just yet... but, soon how are ya? haven't seen you in a while... Richard
