Death

if i died
in my sleep
who
would have
awakened?

the Eastern sun
rises like a dragon afire,
dewdrops
pay homage

risen

we disintegrate
before
the day is done

death
wears
slumber's mask

i weep
4 of my tomatoes
have turned to red

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
there's a bundle of truth
the baby died
bruised and battered...
black and white
is not an issue
President Obama is having a beer
with Professor Gates and Sargent Crowley
a summit on race relations
and kids are committing
suicide at the ripe old age of 11
the new kid on the block is a bully
we wonder why,
Seattle has a temperature of 103
Arizona considers selling state buildings
to raise funds
for the dogs of war
to keep nipping at the
taxpayers feet
there is no health
in the health plan
we're all too sick
when the H2 virus is
in the drinking water
and we leave dead babies
everywhere
our freedom rings
Michael Jackson
does a moonwalk
and a camel walks through
a needle's eye.
Anna,
I'm indulging and frolicking in your words. Cracking stream of consciousness here. I watched the daily show last night and laughed my arse off at the big "scandal" about Obama's birth certificate. Yours, ~Nina
i see your sad beautiful face & I just want to hug and kiss you like my own daughter, Nina. Perhaps I will someday. xoxoxo ~Anna "You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality." Ayn Rand
