I have seen the Ocean.
Winter has fallen,
Cold and hard like the grave,
it spreads across the land like a virus.
With arms outstretched we embrace the sorrow,
we go dancing under barren stars,
with arms outstretched we embrace the sorrow,
the universe lies broken at our feet.
The World is crushed, breathless and still,
the land groans under winter's weight,
the World is crushed, timeless and still,
the land weeps under winter's weight.
Here in our cave, our refuge from the storm,
the fire crackles and hisses and dances.
The flames turn to ice, hope becomes a memory,
frozen fingers with an iron grip.
We scrape ourselves together, bodies pressed hard,
trying to ignite a spark, we rub ourselves together, bodies pressed hard,
trying desperately to ignite a spark.
We're caught in that place, between the frost and the flame,
breathless under winter's weight, we're caught in that space,
between the frost and the flame, weeping under Winter's weight
between the frost and the flame, that no man's land of the heart,
we go dancing under barren stars, between the frost and the flame,
that no man's land of the heart, the World lies broken at our feet
Warm me up, my love, blow me a kiss, wrap your loving arms around,
warm me up, my love, with your hot, damp breath, kickstart my broken heart.
Through hard and frozen water, I see the Ocean swelling in your eyes,
i see hopes and dreams reflected and the Ocean raging in your eyes.
Through hard and frozen water, I see the ocean rolling in your eyes,
I see hopes and dreams reflected and the Ocean raging in your eyes.
Cold and hard like the grave,
it spreads across the land like a virus.
With arms outstretched we embrace the sorrow,
we go dancing under barren stars,
with arms outstretched we embrace the sorrow,
the universe lies broken at our feet.
The World is crushed, breathless and still,
