Lead Me

Let me breathe in your life and live in your heart forever

Bathe in your soul and feed off your love

Take me away from this dark desolate world and free me from these bonds that strangle my limbs.

Lead me out of darkness and into your light

Teach me to walk and I shall find my way to you

Teach me how to talk and I shall only speak from the heart

Teach me to see, so that I may watch our love grow stronger

I love you as the sun loves the African skies and as the ocean loves the sand.

I shall hold you just as the trees hold the heavens in their mighty palms

And as that same sun sets upon my life and those mighty trees are torn from the earth, my life will not have been wasted for I will have loved you.

I say just keep on putting them out there & they will indeed get

Well, Bravo then, that's a mighty good first poem... beautiful love song, I imagine that's a hard one to ignore... I say just keep on putting them out there & they will indeed get better & better, but this is a fabulous start, well done.
