Let it grow

Let it grow, watch it form, watch your strength, be wary of thorns.

Through the holes in your mind. Some one is yearning, some one is screaming. Some one is waiting.

Waiting for you, waiting for love, falling endlessly through the motions of insanity. Drifting through your delirious mind.

You ignore, you dismiss, you yell, and you cry.

Wanting this voice to stop

Stop with these words, stop with this truth, stop begging to be heard.

“What you preach is no longer true, they are no longer memories, for I have forgotten. I do not want to know, I do not want to see, and I do not want to remember”.

Remember, remember, but it is forgotten. Pushed out to protect your lies.

Lies not worth saving, lies not worth living, who you were was the truth, who you were was you.

Remember, think back. you have not forgotten.

“I have I have, you will not make me see, take your ramblings and just leave me in peace.”

And then it stops.

The silence is deafening. Though the isolation is bliss.

The voice in your head that was so intent on being heard, has decided to leave.

Leave you in solitude, leave you in darkness, leave you in pieces.

Pushing and prodding, you’ve found a way to stop your mind.

And then it’s heard.

Silence.

The only remnants of who you once were, are gone.

The only voice who wished to restore your joy, has left.

Left you alone to deal with this reality.

The reality that you yourself are a stranger, a façade, an act for acceptance.

Acceptance that if you gain, will not be yours but will belong to the stranger that’s invaded your mind.

Invading your thoughts, invading your soul, the voice of yourself has forgotten now too.

Dwell in this darkness, dwell in your misery, dwell in the mind of the unknown.

Hi Talia, yay another Victorian! Lots in here that resonates. You have had the gushes above, I am left to add my welcome & my admiration for the guts it takes to write a book.
