Beautiful

Beautiful

it was a typical
hospital room

lights......tubes....
the soft hummmmmm
of an oxygen machine
nurses coming
and going

just before she died
........as the names
of things started
to evaporate...

she raised up....
...looked around
the room with
soft baby eyes
and said:

"Beautiful"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They came...
friends and friends
of friends, relatives,
old lovers,
children and grandchildren
one last look
at her image,
as if death must be
formalized with flowers
and copper coffin
her last tender touch
i felt on my cheek
flowers waved
as she walked by
her name was Beauty
and she died an untimely death.
Anna...
I enjoyed both poems very much... they seemed to fit together in a comfortable clutch... would like to know more about the author of the first one, if I am not imposing... Richard
Kailashana
This poem is really a beauty, and I guess it came out easily from your heart, as it had been dictated by a fairie.
Thank you for reading
Thank you for reading Bonita, Hugo, Seren... Is it a poem if no one reads it? Beauty is beautiful for its own sake.. and we are witness, blessed. ~A "You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality." Ayn Rand
