The Dance in the Meadow

To greet out there
is something rare
no one could've known,

You're beautiful
and wonderful
and just look how you have grown.

Happenstance
gave lowly me the chance
to dance with you, this day;

I had to laugh
and take a photograph
I care not, what others say.

I felt so healed
out in that field
watching your antics, under the sun;

It seems to me
that you've set me free
I am such the "lucky one"!

Now, day grows old
it's getting cold
and evening soon, is nigh;

this had to end
my little friend
my dancing butterfly.

You get 4 stars from me for 'The Butterfly Effect'!

Yeah, I know that's not the title, but it reminds me a lot of the premise that the movie was based on! How little things can produce changes in our very existance is, to me, what this poem signifies! Nicely penned!
