A Blinding View
My mind is open
but my eyes are closed
born blind
I see only darkness
It is this darkness
that makes me live behind a curtain
a curtain that is always closed
I want so much
to be able look at this world
to see
what it really is
I wish that I could look at all the beautiful things
Instead of having to be told of what they are
I would like to be able to look and tell you what some thing is
without having to always feel and touch it
I am saddened with the thought
that I live in reality and yet I cannot see it
I ‘m tired of always trying to imagine it
May be one day this curtain will be drawn
and my dream of vision will be fulfilled
