A Blinding View

My mind is open

but  my eyes are closed

born blind

I see only darkness

It is this darkness

that makes me live behind a   curtain

a curtain that  is always closed

 I want so much

to be able look at this world

to see

 what it really is

I wish that I could look at all the beautiful things

Instead of having to be told of what they are

I would like to be able to look and tell you what some thing is

without having to always feel and touch it

I am saddened with the thought

that I  live in reality and yet I cannot see it

I ‘m tired of always trying to imagine it

May be one day this curtain will be drawn

and my dream of vision will be fulfilled

Karen

Am not sure what to say, as this poem would indicate that you cannot or have never seen and I just would like to know if this is so, or that it is a piece that is your idea of being blind, so I await your reply, Yours Ian.T
