All the same

Hunger is a many fingered meaning
Food is gathered gravely
With both hands cupped .

Fingers are prised from
Structural belonging ,
By the many ethnic scourers
Who still manipulate power
Around our earth.

The hunger to belong left
Gnawing within forever,
From the dismembering
Of soul and place.

Hunger of Love ,
Ails the well fed bellies of those
Who forgot the price paid for wealth.

The clawing upward journey
Leaving needs behind,
And lost below,
Until from heady heights
The winds of lonliness blow,
And those left behind love are
Out of reach.
Out of touch.

But the hollow gap within the soul
Hungers all the same.
We are all the same

the last few lines

are like an echo getting softer with each repitition. It is haunting. I enjoyed the whole poem as it engulfed me and swept me away to its fine conclusion. Always, Cat

right let me get this

right let me get this clear...the question mark in brackets are the possible floating lines that could be moved ? the dot in the bracket indicates what again? The words in the brackets are they possible changes of wording or bad diction? Not fimiliar with this way of suggestiong change , could you please clarify for me ...Once I get that clear I'll try it and see how the reading of it goes. Thanks Liz
