Arachnaphobia

Over in the cornerBy the photo of the QueenLives a great enormous spiderTrying hard, not to be seenHe is very very hairyHe is very very fatAnd the last time that I saw himI could swear he wore a hat Now he’s lived behind the pictureFor a while, I am sureHe moved there from the gapBetween the skirting and the floorHe used to be quite cosyIn his space against the wallWith his appetite for fliesHe soon found it far too small When I walk in the room nowHe will give me such a stareAnd looks at me as if to say“I really couldn’t care”He’s bigger now, it’s frighteningAnd the family live in fearWhen I popped out for my teaHe made the budgie disappear My minds made up, he’s has to goAnd so, I grab a towelI walk into the lounge, and,Did I really hear a growl? My fathers says I’m stupidAre you man or are you mouse?I’ll answer him tomorrowWhen I’ve finished moving house

I just love your mind John.

I just love your mind John. I'd like to come in and play.... do you mind? ~A p.s. Did you notice when those thousands of tiny light-spiders emerged? "Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood." T. S. Eliot
