when a dialogue becomes a poem ~

from words to poems

…we have reached a state of union
where Dialogue becomes Poem

i say:

“give me a friend
such as you,
and i have a life.”

you say:

“I see myself, posed, alone,
strong, tragic, beautiful,
but someone else must see,
not just see,
but see the pose.”

“I praise all belief
that you are you.”

i answer:

“we can only truly see ourselves
in another’s reflection…
rarely does it happen… and when it does…
we see ourselves exactly as you described,
my Love.

but tell me, my Beloved… who is Narcissus
and who is the River?"

We bow in recognition.

Dear Anna,

but tell me, my Beloved… who is Narcissus and who is the River?” each other's narcissus and river washing blood from each graze no hinges squeaking open but lament's symphonic creak foreborn and unbearable those absent endless laps against this dock post as soundings from a ripple Brian

Love should not be a loss of

Love should not be a loss of self, but an awakening to deeper meanings. Not a binding of two paths into one, but an oasis for two travelers that do not share every path, but share the love of their fellow traveler, and as a mother welcomes home her child, so each partner welcomes their own into their heart, upon their return. Though they will never walk each step together, they shall never take one step alone. They shall always be friends and agree to disagree;on those paths they cannot walk together, and so grow stronger in their tolerance. For that which binds is greater then that which divides, and that which binds is love. B

Ahhh, love…should not….

Ahhh, love...should not.... and yet it is... love loses itself in the experience of *YOU*. In the greater context of living life, there is only I and *Thou*. That includes every thing that IS in One experience of *self* and *other*. So be it. You and I are as partners, one to the other to the One... are intrinsic in shaping the world we come to know together. And so it is. ~A
