My Shard

 My Shard

All nature throws its eyes at me

straight to the quick,

the heart of me

the arrow of perception shot

with bowers of flowers

she does awake my sleeping hours

I partake of her

so happily

I take my card

the shard of rock

that you picked out for me

what does it tell

what does it tell

does it tell more about me

can you guess what comes next

or shall I go on without thee

Mystery and Beauty...

Like a mesmerizing chant... Your words weave a Rune, in a Poem. I love it! Raven

What Captivated

me the most were these lines, as I think they were the most powerful: All nature throws its eyes at me straight to the quick, the heart of me This poem of uncertainty really caught my attention. Always, Cat

I'll follow you...

I'll follow you O'Queen, You lead so well. Just thought that the word 'determine' seems a little out of place for some reason. I thought maybe you could say;" Do you know what comes next?" Seems to stay with the language better. Yours always, Sir Gee.

Dear Margaret Ann,

It is so you! Including the provocative part, which you normally keep tucked under some chocolaty drizzle of words. Now you are here, ready for eyes to see you and consider the sweetness of provocation. You are of our company and we shall walk with you through forests green and fields yellow bending stalk upon an August breeze. Brian

Ann,

loved this observant (self-observant?) little piece. However, I have to second Sir Gee on the placement of "determine" here... how about "guess" or "foresee"? Yours, ~Nina
