Become

Become

If you are to become anything at all

become a poem.

But who shall be the poet?

Who shall gather and enfold

all your stars

fragments of light,

into one

So that evermore we may read

your wistful myths

in perfect constellations?

The gods shall be the poets,

They, the balladeers.

So glad it resonated! I keep coming back to the "poetry" theme (though it's not intentional) maybe because I find it such a mystery that it just intrudes on my writes. But who knows. Thanks so much for the comments, Jayne. luv, Marion

Your poetic response is

Your poetic response is wonderful, Tania! I love it! Now here's a question (and I wonder how you would respond in poetry this time). I want to change the last line to read: "The gods shall be the poets/They the balladeers". What's your opinion (in a poem)? luv, Celadon

Marion,

I am becoming a fan (or should I say an addict?) to your writing really fast. The gods shall be the poets They the balladeers are wonderful lines, but may I suggest to add a little something along the lines of who sing our tale forevermore (not necessarily these exact words, but something to that effect)? Yours, ~Nina

Nina! A good suggestion!! I'll look for something that will complete the idea of those last two lines. I need some time to work on it, dream on it. Thanks for stopping by... love your suggestions! luv, Marion
