This is an extraordinarily insightful poem. My partner Olya is a watcher in your poem's sense and, I suppose, I am too. It is sometimes lonely to see so much beyond the defenses that people preserve so stridently. Where does one look sometimes. What to do with that contrast between overt presentment and a more unvarnished truth. And it is a paradox lock if we think we can seek any real consent to make a disclosure even to the subject, since bravado is so chronic that the mere request virtually forces a coerced consent. So one must use discretion, hopefully wisely, and be forgiving of self. When I decided to write, I pretty much was deciding to be seen as much as if I arrived in person. You are putting your investment in how the world works to good use in your poetry. Brian
