Little Theatre...

The play is good,
really good.
Percy, very shy
Cyrenne, a prostitute
and Ricky, a rough one.
set in the 1960's
on a one night stand.
Gold curtains
black stage
spotlight on the stairs.
A cool breeze
slipping through a
small crack of the 
slightly opened windows.
A single Theatre programme
lying crumpled on the floor...

oh dear oh my

this is one of those poems I adore but can't tell you why... it just works. Certainly I was bored by the first 10 lines and the last 6 transformed it. Cheers, Jess
