Dark Valentine

Dark Valentine

Covertly watching her life's dance

The music born of her personal rhythm

Touched him like none had ever before.

The weaving of her spell drew him

From the depth of his essence while

Inherent passion caressed his spirit.

Yearning awakened, festering to obsession,

Overtaking all he once knew of sanity.

She became a tortuous fixation,

Gradually ripping apart his psyche,

Disassembling his sense of reality.

To possess her in this leaden adoration

Would be to bind her cruelly.

Deciding in a moment of purest affection,

He would deny the raging of his hunger

And simply walk on by...

Nice, Cat.

Edge love poem... isn't that an oxymoron? =) Loved the darkness in this one. Do we get a sequel? ~Jess K. ----------------------- "Flying so high, trying to remember How many cigarettes did I bring along? When I get down, I'll jump in a taxi-cab Driving through London-town to cry you a song..." - Jethro Tull

A sequel?

I don't know about that one... but one never knows what Edge is going to do next, not even me, LOL! I'll think about it for awhile and stew my brains. Thanks, Jess! Always, Cat

Hi Kelsey

I have "Edge" in chains in my basement and he will never stop writing, so have no fear of that. I removed the offending comma as I decided it read better without it, just as you suggested. Thank you for telling me which lines worked for you. I appreciate it. Always, Cat

Thanks Richard!

I'm glad that you appreciated the ending, that was the first thing my husband commented on when I let him read the finished work. He was pleasantly surprised too. Thanks for reading and commenting! Hugs, Cat

Sometimes I Think People Are Tired Of Edge

And then along comes someone like you to let me know it isn't so! Thanks so much for letting me know you like my dark side. Edge has a book coming out at the end of July, titled, "Book of Styx" by Eddy Styx (Eddy Styx is one of the names I publish under)The publisher is Sam's Dot Publishing. I'll let you know when it is released. Always, Cat

Cat So sensious tempting strong willed. He would be disappointed She using all her charms to seduce him. Drawing him in gently to the point he has to decide whether to give in or hold fast. He will always wonder what he missed. It will haunt him forever wondering what if he had decided to let his desires succomb before she took him over before she devoured him. Love it. Only you my friend. Electric Blue
