Rhythmless

Today, it seems like the music died.
Well, at least "pop" music...
and, who would've thought that Paul would've outlived him?

For that matter, even Ringo did!
And really, 50 is rather quite young.
Yeah...it truly seems as if the music died, today.

Plus, it always seems to happen in three's.
First, there was Ed McMahon,
then Farrah Fawcett, and then, Michael Jackson.

Ed died of old age, basically,
Farrah had been battling cancer for two and a half years,
but Michael? Man.....cardiac arrest?

That's not a heart attack.
A heart attack is from a lack of blood to the heart,
cardiac arrest means his heart just forgot to beat...

kind of like a rhythm problem, or an arrhythmia;
which is very much a bit of irony.
Michael Jackson...the King of Pop...dead, due to a lack of rhythm.

Loved your ending, the whole

Loved your ending, the whole poem, Doc. I wrote one too yesterday: two icons ~ Two icons died today, Jackson said he was betrayed Sharpton said he never let his fans down. The all-American girl with the killer smile, smiles no more. When an icon dies, the world notices, and this is the time when i want to believe in a God who knows every name and sees the little brown sparrow fall, weeps when the fig tree bears no fruit. Condolences and peace to the extended family... all of us. ~A p.s. I adore your icon. I'd love to use it. Can I have it now? ;-)

I truly....

...liked your poem. Since Farrah was battling cancer, I thought it not prudent to point out a loss, concerning her "fight". I may still unclude her in something else I'm working on. Thanx for sharing your poem. "write on" ! #{:>{)}@==== docmaverick.

Actually

it has been more than in 3's,there was Don Deloise, and David Carrodine, too. Still, Michael was the most surprising, unless you consider his drug abuse. I did love his music. A great talent

With due respect....

...there was Dom, that news lady who was beat in her bedroom, and THEN Carrodine. They still come in three's. "Write On!" #{:>{)}@==== docmaverick.

Doc

Good little tribute. Can't say that I really liked MJ, but to each his own. Did you know that he had a very rare disease that literally takes out all melatonin in your skin and that's why he "turned white"? I fully maintain that the wrong two Beatles died first.. ~Jess K. ----------------------- "Flying so high, trying to remember How many cigarettes did I bring along? When I get down, I'll jump in a taxi-cab Driving through London-town to cry you a song..." - Jethro Tull
