sometimes i almost forget

in my aloneness
i almost forget
wanting you,
and then you arrive
like a shadow in the light
break into my silent world
of self-absorption
like a raw wind
just East of Eden,
just West of my loneliest shore,

you are relentless
in your tenderness
your power and strength
like a vortex subsuming me

you weave me
into a dark sun.

you leave me
exonerated in ecstasy.

Relentless tenderness

Relentless tenderness, I never would have thought that those two words could go together! Leaving one in exonerated ecstacy, is what someone who is relentlees in their tenderness would be capable of. Great work, 'K'. Sounds as though you have had a great love also. The loss of one like that might be too much to bear for some. You and Anni, are amazing women! My hat is off to you both! [Pity, that men don't tip their hats to women anymore.] I know it isn't practical to do so most times, a man would spend too much time doing it in this day and age. But in a situation of a personal meeting I think it a sign of respect. Ah, how I long for the days of chivalrous conduct. When women were afforded such. You and all the women here in the land of Neopoetland are so deserving! My helm is doffed to you. Gee.

Well, we give up some good

Well, we give up some good habits and some bad habits. In the days of chivalry, when knighthood was in flower (now where the heck did I lose those poems?)and Robin Hood was fancying Maid Marian and the Knights of the Round Table gave allegiance to King Arthur, well.... women were little more than vassals to be married off. Dunno if I made the right choices in my dissolved marriage and my choices for lovers. (Even if the mystical marriage to the spirit that lives within came much much later.) Makes life exciting even in my new role as a crone. Nice to reminisce with you, Gee. ;-) ~A "There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic." Anais Nin

Dear Anna,

my modest stone breakwater by water broken and the lake surges its kisses into shore's lips digesting the colour but revealing the red iron soil wantonly rusting cursing water's brands but embracing them like lace edging distressed. Brian
