sometimes i almost forget
in my aloneness
i almost forget
wanting you,
and then you arrive
like a shadow in the light
break into my silent world
of self-absorption
like a raw wind
just East of Eden,
just West of my loneliest shore,
you are relentless
in your tenderness
your power and strength
like a vortex subsuming me
you weave me
into a dark sun.
you leave me
exonerated in ecstasy.
i almost forget
wanting you,
and then you arrive
like a shadow in the light
break into my silent world
of self-absorption
like a raw wind
just East of Eden,
just West of my loneliest shore,
you are relentless
in your tenderness
your power and strength
like a vortex subsuming me
you weave me
into a dark sun.
you leave me
exonerated in ecstasy.
