UNREQUITED LOVE

I want slivery shadows to fall pitch nights to comedarkness to wrap and protect me from your scorching sun. I wait freyed and impatient,
dull yet amazedthat I have lived through thisalbeit half -crazed.I want you to feel the pain
                    you once gaveI want you to experience the vast emptiness
                     you have caved.
  Our time is pastand memories are manyto be bought by you for a mere pinched penny.Everything I gave is worthless or lostyou didn't give a damn how much it costyou squandered with indifference,yet loittered with intent,your mind indeed twisted
- on my time recklessly spent.  Unrequited love is so common it's coarseIt shows no restraint, guilt or remorseit stifles sad Sunday smilesParades on tear-soaked cheeks with pridetearing off cloaks of confidence -from those trying to hide.  When my eons of missing you are finally goneI want you to look up and wish for someone -someone who'll carry a torchbright enough to outshine your sun.

Superb poem. You know what this means, don't you. Expectations.... No excuses now. We know what you have and the only reason its not always in our nostrils and between our jaws is your choosing.
