Mrs. Zadorian

She's funny, she sings.

I'm happy, she smiles.

She taught lots of things,

Says...I've come miles.

She showed us movies,

Mall Cop and more.

Spyderwich, Faries,

Orcs two... kids four.

No homework on first day of week,

Library-time, all the books!

Chinese thoughts,we learned to speak,

Different ideas, different looks.

Greek columns we made,

Not stone, but dough.

"Beeing Good" paid,

As everyone knows.

Star system, earth skies,

Swimming... "High's pool."

Tears in my eyes,

Best teacher, She's cool !

Hey Gee

I love the concept of collaborating with your grandson, it will give him memories of you he'll never forget and make him appreciate poetry all the more. Fits the season, as its the time of year you look back on your teachers and appreciate the good ones. I only had a few i liked, but i really appreciated everything they did for me. Well done, both of you! I hope your grandson continues writing, Gee. He's doing well already. Peace n love Katie

You go grandpa! Perhaps

You go grandpa! Perhaps you'll even write a book of poetry together, it would be a treat! A poet sees the world through the eyes of a child. ~A "There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic." Anais Nin

We have plans......

We have plans for a book, eventually... Jason so wants his own profile! When we found out that he had to be thirteen to have his own profile, he kinda lost interest for awhile. But I keep asking for ideas, and he complies when he feels in the mood. He tells me things he wants to see in the poem, and I try hard to work them in. My wife and I have raised Jason since he was a year and a half old, and we have close contact with his wonderful school. He is well loved there. We are delighted that they have decided to expand to include the seventh and eighth grades. He is in a remedial reading and writing program, and his penmanship is poor. But he is making good progress. I have hopes that writing poetry will help him on his way. He looks forward to hearing comments on our work and asks frequently if there are new ones. We have collaborated on three other poems so far. they are: Mom, Snack-boy, and I love my grandpa. Thank you for the comments on Mrs. Zadorian. Gee.

Hey, what a great idea, made me smile even though I'm now a sleepy head. Love some of these lines here. Enjoy, as you seem to be doing xx Anni We dont believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveal

Thank you Anni.

Thank you for the comment,Jason is always pleased that we get them. Jason has a little more input than I give him credit for. He does get to see most of our work before it is finalized and posted. If he has more suggestions, I try hard to work them in. Thank you again, Gee.

our young

I remember when my daughter was young I would go out downtown of course being a father who was active in her life and not distant as some (and what Ive heard my freinds speak of of their own childhoods) so It pleases my heart to hear that you as a grandfather are there for your grandchildren and including them in your experience and they yours this poem takes me back some fifteen years to when my daughter and I would watercolour paint at the table and have "tea" using real tea cups and saucers with Welchs grape juice She today is a fantastic artist You have a good eye for dialogue and imagery and your poem flows well Thank you
