the chaff

it is my heart that scatters all about
but she ate me when i was the bean
now i am seeming of irrelevance-
because a chaff has no futher use

she spied , and saw the bean underneath
then she tore me apart in alledged affection
but when she was through nibbling the core
she packed the chaff in pieces-then flung it

now each discrete bit that lands
was a part of my heart in her hand
but all that mattered she had devoured-
there was nothing left of me than the chaff

I think this could be tightened up a little.

For example, I think you could do without lines 3 and 4, maybe combine 2 and 5. I'd like to see line 2 as line 1 b/c it's such a compelling, powerful line. Neat analogy and like your choice of powerful verbs. Interesting.
