Now and Then (Pieces fall together)

Now,

Laughing with the moon
singing to the stars
lifting of a spirit
Embraced hearts,
Love sent out in waves
pretty white dress maid
happy is the freedom
thought made,
Gentleness is felt
returned in leagues adored,
reality is a healer
I am born

and
Then,

Screaming from the walls
teetering eyed the sky
sitting numbered night
Cried hearts,
Raging at the world
tearing at the page
fury of the white sage
roared fires,
Black dog growls at feet
wants be paid in meat,
ghostly canine form
sloths slave

Now and then ,
feed the pieces
of a sorely missed peace

Now and Then

I am only begining to read and follow poetry of this style,but I can follow this with ease. You have said to me,things I feel,but cannot not yet express in this manner. I am not sure that I will ever be able to. Maybe I won't even try. I may evolve into this style someday,but as of now find my joy in letting people such as you,who are adept at it,do this thing. Congrats for a fine poem! [I am currently engrossed in the book:"Poets Choice" by Edward Hirsch.] Thank you for a fine read.Gee.

feeding of the dogs the howlings of the fog

drinking cola listening to U Tube depressing music thinking I may have taken one too many pain killers but will survive the back is bad the storm is coming one day this is incredible poetry Love the black dog motiff or symbolism and the meat yes for all I had done it was a double pizza with most everything start naming cash and I would have had a price the dark dog days how i hungered in the numbered chasm of deep now here alive writing reading commenting what more could a man ask for

Now and Then ...O~

I often think of Now and then and thought ... this could make a poem so I sat on the idea for a while till it formulated in my mind It has been a while in the writing this one but I am happy with how it turned out better than what I expected to be honest Your nights and mine sound similar Coke , You tube , poetry all but the youtube lol I mostly substitute that for poetry I find it more relaxing calms me and helps bring much needed sleep as I write this night comes to me New ideas form in darkness to fill the void my soul be bouyed, night approachs excitement lines the blood another darkness pillowed in poets wondering thought Much Love Jayne x x Sending thoughts to you hope your back gets better and your more comfortable ... I always smile when I see your comments you are such a joy to me , and you know that , I am well as I can be and thank you for your kind wishes , This is about a life , a twined life I guess you could call it , there seems to be a delineated part of my life that feels sometimes as If someone else lived it ... but as you can see , by my 'now' , I am content and at peace with myself most of the time ... I have a good old whinge every now and then, orrrrr as I am finding its the pen that becomes the instrument that I turn to most these days , channel it into my writing be that of music or poetry , makes for a more balanced life ... Hope your day is well and the library is warm ... I can smell all those books from here you make me jealous ... Much love Jayne (hugz)
